Creating a Narrative.
After reading this article by Blacklock’s this morning, I put together a quick timeline indicating a government fabricated narrative designed to vilify the Freedom Convoy. They knew none of this was before we even left Alberta.
On January 24, 2022, when Chris Barber, his son Jonathan, and I left Medicine Hat, Mary Liz Powers, Issues Advisor to Justin Trudeau’s PMO, texted Alexander Cohen, Director of Communications for the Minister of Public Safety under Marco Mendicino, to discuss strategies and talking points framing the Freedom Convoy as a January 6-style event.
In these messages, Power proposed leveraging media coverage of “extreme” comments from some convoy participants—such as calls for a “Jan. 6 style insurrection”—to frame the protest negatively, suggesting Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino could emphasize this narrative in interviews while avoiding the appearance of directing police.
As you can see, Cohen responded that Mendicino supported the approach but advised waiting a day or two to avoid prompting convoy organizers to “push out the crazies,” implying a strategy to allow fringe elements to amplify the “extreme” portrayal.
Two days later, a Ministerial Briefing was held called “Truckers and Threats to Security” was held to discuss “Talking Points”.
On the meeting date, the Freedom Convoy hadn't reached Thunder Bay.
No attendees directly or indirectly contacted the organizers, nor mentioned our strong relationship with the Ontario Police Service or our visible efforts to ensure safety. We were quickly labeled as enemies of the state, to be feared and reviled, despite being everyday, middle-class Canadians.
“Open Source” is a fancy way of saying social media, gathering publicly available information about their targets.
What I’ve never understood is why it’s deemed reliable when they need to cram in into their narrative, and deemed unreliable when they can’t.
Two days following this email thread dated January 27, titled Convoy Issues Messaging, and while the Freedom Convoy was enroute for Sault Saint Marie, Bill Blair stood in front of reporters and repeated the exact same talking points.
As you can see here, the core messaging being crafted was coming from the Public Safety Office’s Communications Director, Alex Cohen.
Full Circle.

This government is so corrupt they need to be gone. They need to be charged and thrown in jail for treason and unjust conviction of anyone with the convoy.
Liberal scum. Freeland that person that acted unconstitutionally to seize convoy participant bank accounts is now to become some sort of representatives in Ukraine. It’s horrible to read what we know. Deception, lies and unconstitutional actions. Carneys government.
