Trial Update

With the election excitement last week and some travel days, I realized I neglected to provide an update on myself and Chris Barber’s hearing last Monday morning.

Chris and his team are bringing forth a Stay of Proceedings application which the judge will hear May 21-23 in Ottawa.

A sentencing hearing date for myself was scheduled for July 23-25 in Ottawa. The judge will most likely add Chris to those dates once his SoP has been argued and a decision reached.

I am hopeful to the actual date for sentencing will be before September, but with the courts clogged up and the pace of this trial in general, it could possibly stretch into the fall.

Once again I would like to express my gratitude for the support we have received from so many Canadians. I feel like the most blessed woman in the world.
